It’s time.
Without the 24/7 news loop prodding us on, we may forget that our local elections are upon us, but make no mistake, they can be the most important to our every day lives and the well-being of our communities.
Democrat-endorsed candidates for city council in Leander, Cedar Park, and Round Rock are on the May 3 ballot, and all you need to know about the candidates and how to vote can be found right here on the Williamson County Democrats website.
Early voting runs from April 22-29, with election day on May 3. Voting times and locations across the county can be found on our election information page. These city council candidates have asked for and received the endorsement of the Williamson County Democratic Party:

Local elections impact our local tax rates, the quality of life issues in our communities, the types of businesses we attract to town, how well our infrastructure keeps up, and how we grow.
And in local elections, every vote counts. Consider this:
- A 2025 local race in Hutto was won by 32 votes
- A 2025 local race in Leander was won by 82 votes
- A 2025 local race in Liberty Hill was won by 20 votes
- A 2019 local race in Cedar Park was won by 2 votes
Get to the Polls and Get the Word Out
No one can afford to stay home or decide their vote doesn’t count. Make a plan to vote early; then make sure and remind all your neighbors to vote. We’re less than two weeks from the end of this election, but there’s still time to block walk, make phone calls or put up a sign and help these quality candidates win their seat.
And watch the Williamson County Democrats website and social media pages for election results once the polls close May 3.
