Voting By Mail

Under a new state law, you must include either your Driver’s License/Texas ID Number or the last four digits of your social security number on your application to vote by mail and on your ballot. We recommend including both your license and the last four digits of your social security number to avoid your application or ballot being rejected.

You can now track the status of your VBM application and your ballot by mail online.

For more information or if you have any questions, please review the Voting By Mail page on the Williamson County Elections Department website, or contact Lorraine McKay at 512-943-1633 or bbm@wilco.org.

Voting Accessibility

If you have a disability, you have the right to bring the person of your choosing into the voting booth with you to help you. You can bring anyone except your employer, an agent of your employer, or an officer or agent of your labor union. You may also request assistance from the election officials staffing the polling place.

Your polling place should be physically accessible and have accessible equipment that allows you to vote privately and independently. An election officer may give voting priority to individuals with a mobility problem that substantially impairs the person’s ability to move around. Learn more here

Curbside voting should be available for those who are physically unable to enter the polling place. Signs are posted at each polling location with instructions on how eligible voters can vote curbside. When you arrive, you’ll need to send a text message to the number listed and poll workers will be sent outside to assist you.

For assistance in English or Spanish call 844-TX-VOTES, in Asian languages call 888-API-VOTE, in Arabic call 844-YALLA-US, and in American Sign Language (video call) call 301-818-VOTE.
