Poll Workers Needed for May 24th Run Off

  • Poll Workers Needed

WILLIAMSON COUNTY ELECTION POLL WORKERS NEEDED.
FOR TUESDAY, MAy 24, 2016

We are reaching out and looking for Democratic poll workers willing to work as election poll workers for the Democratic Primary Election Run Off on Tuesday May 24th.

There is only one race on the ballot - Railroad Commissioner. This is between Cody Garrett and Grady Yarbrough.

Williamson County will have 50 Vote Centers. At these vote center polling locations, voting will be done by iVotronics only. Sign in will be conducted using the laptops with VoteSafe software and labeling machines.

• By State Law and primary workers are paid $8.00 an hour for a maximum of 14 hrs.
• Training is required but we cannot pay for training. If you worked as an Election Clerk in the March 1st Primary or are working in the May 7th Municipal Election, this training will suffice.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) Workers Are Especially Needed.
• Workers must be registered voters in the county where they work.
• It is possible that two people could split a day.

The Party needs you! WE need you to volunteer your time and talent to help us staff these various positions. If you can’t, maybe you know someone that can.

If you need training, training will be provided. You will learn how to get the polling site ready for Election Day and process voters.

If you are interested in working at the Democratic Party Primary election, contact Jose Orta at 512-818-9802 or Orta_Jose@hotmail.com.
