Vote by Vote and Election by Election Williamson County Is Becoming a Blue County.  The Texas State Party announced in 2015 that in a county by county analysis comparing each county's performance in 2014 with its performance in 2010 (comparing gubernatorial race years), Williamson County had the best performance record in the entire state. This is how you turn Texas Blue, incremental growth at the county level.  And Williamson County is doing this...we're on the move!

But we need your help!

Your finanacial support ensures continued progress in 2016.  So we are reaching out to you to ask you to get involved.  The Williamson County Democratic Party needs funds to increase Democratic influence and to spread Democratic values throughout our county. We need money to assist our candidates running for office. We will never send you a "the world is falling apart, will you send us just $3.00 to help us fight the good fight."

But we do try to make sure that our party members and supporters know that we need their financial help if they are able to contribute. For example, just like PBS, we ask you to become a SUSTAINING DONOR. And we offer a painless method for you to make your donations. Sustaining donors donate a minimum of $120 annually to the WCDP. These donations can be made in a lump sum once a year, or you can make painless monthly donations of just $10.00. Several of our easily amused sustaining donors are giving $20.16 each month in honor of the 2016 election year.

To become a sustaining donor or to just make a donation to the party,
Contribute now at:  https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/sustaining.donor

This will take you to our safe ActBlue page where you can make credit card donations to the party.

Or, you could contact WCDP Finance Chair Kent Miller to arrange to make automatic monthly payments directly from your checking account to the WCDP's bank account. Contact Kent Miller at precinct185@gmail.com .

How does the WCDP use these donations?

The monthly donations you give us are the bread and butter of our party budget. Your donations finance our headquarters rent, our utilities, our website, computers, and office supplies. They fund voter registration drives, GOTV (get out the vote) projects, training for party activists and candidates. They cover fees to participate in parades, festivals, community celebrations, and other events where we can show the community that Democrats are not only well in Williamson County, they are flourishing. They cover the costs for purchasing bumper stickers, buttons, and t-shirts. They cover the design and printing costs for handouts and push cards that promote our party's values and beliefs to the public.

We are on we are on the move but we need your help.  Just look at what we have been able to accomplish:

  • The percent of voters in Williamson County who voted for our Democratic candidates was higher in 2014 than it was in 2010.
  • Of the 10 Counties that make up Senate District 5, Williamson County earned 226 Delegates for  the 2016 State Convention that is 67% of the Total Delegates in Senate District 5.
  • In 2012 only 10 Democratic Ballots were cast in Williamson County. In the 2014 November General Election, 2,805 Democratic BBM votes were cast and we expect to exceed this number in 2016.
  • In 2014, 25% of the Williamson County election precincts were Democratic. We had 18% in 2010 and 0% in 2002.
